35 years service gifted with dismissal...

Six times MLA and three times Minister DL said that he was asked to resign by KBR along with JC Diwakar Reddy between 1989-94 when a liquor tragedy occurred in his constituency. KBR called him to camp office and informed him about the party high command’s decision and expressed deep concern over sending him out unceremoniously.

However Kiran had sought to sack him when he was abroad on an official tour to London by stealthily recommending to Governor and also seeking immediate approval with in hour. “I am not a tainted minister, no charge of corruption against me and I have never involved in any anti-party activities. I wanted to know why I was sacked,” DL threw up an open question to CM Kiran.

Explaining how differences have been cropped with the Chief Minister, DL said he was humiliated by the Chief Minister when he was invited for launching of ‘Rajiv Yuvakiranalu’ on September 9, 2011. “I got hurt when the majority of portfolios are stripped from me in 2012 and I wrote a letter to PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana to accept my resignation on February 8, 2012. Instead of accepting the resignation, the CM had removed him.

“I would have resigned, if the CM asked me to do it. But I was undemocratically and aggressively sent out. CM’s agenda was to terrorize other critics like Botsa Satyanarayana, Damodara Rajanarasimha etc. But I am a soldier of the party and would not allow anything to damage the image and name of congress president Sonia Gandhi under any circumstances,” he added
